Halt

I am so grumpy today I can't even stand myself - on the wind and in the sand my toes barlely hold to the land-
Cleanse my gut -
my mind is overwhelmed
Lost luxuries awhile ago
Now trapped by dirt and in dignity
Your breath is given at birth
A family system becomes the cage you live to free
Bones poke through my skin
Little lap of luxury-
The silent cry but we can't win
No one can hear us glowing in sin
I can change myself
Anger spite and all
Throwing punches at the wall
Words are all I have in the substance you left me in
The pen the paint the wand of my hand
Escaping me to this other place
Arms to embrace and beauty to bask in
