Fight to surrender

Sadness creeped at my bones tied on blankets tattered from running
The wind helped me move forward
Lurching like the thirsty for water
Flowing feelings rushed under my skin
In rage I slept without you
Tender longings with no mate
Surrendered to the night
With stars under covers I slipped
Your name off my tongue
Tasty from the salt of your skin
Or the memory of it within
My bones brittle from the flight
Lying on the runway
