the shadow eats only the raw

i was sitting with the sun on my face and the shadow on my back was cold. there was ice all around my heart and it pounded, it nearly did explode. i sighed with relief, when i realized the shadow, it was gone. the coolness crept my bones, and my judgement escaped me. i used to follow Christ but now i would rob the dry bones of a weary soul, crept over.  i was consumed by elaborate disguises. terror and light before my eyes flickered. i was caught in illusions, too big for me to break and so i broke myself. slowly over time and quickly before my eyes.
